Nowadays we are familiar with the word FOLLOWER and these Followers LIKE our Posts and we dont like to be unfriended or disliked. We frown at those who don't follow and who negate our thoughts. Worst of all, we don't like those who pervert our words, misinterpret our intentions and judge our motives.

What do you think are the LORD's thoughts against those who dislike him, who would not follow him, who would not have him as God? And worse, what do you think of those who pervert God's word?

How God makes a church

The Lord built only one kind of church
He called it "my church"
He founded it, organized it, gave it commands
He made ordinances for it to follow
He pronounced teachings for it to propagate
He gave the Holy Spirit to remain
Indwell it and Empower it
He gave it apostles, prophets, teachers
He gave it the complete scriptures
By His command His church sends forth preachers
By His command the lost, prepared by God, are saved
And in that locality, a body of Christ is formed
the same as the one formed by Christ
Like begets like
Same faith and practice
And the Lord does the same thing over again

CONFESS YOUR SINS

if you have done or hid things which the church should know,

because other people might scandalize the church because of what you did
because other people outside the church know already about your secret
because the name of the Lord will be blasphemed if you don't face the truth
because you know that someday your sin will be discovered anyway

it is time to ask the LORD for strength to face the church
repent, restore, renew

GOD will be glorified

THE SAMARITAN WOMAN admitted her sin before the Lord
Joh 4:18-19  For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.  (19)  The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

ZACCHAEUS addmitted his sin before the LORD and others

The parable of the Publican shows us how confession is done

1.       NOTHING that should cause you to be puffed up.

2.      Paul did many things for God year after year and yet he said this verse 12.

What can we do for the LORD in the year 2013?

1.       Paul was apprehended by Christ

2.      He wants to apprehend that perfect state and apprehend the Gentiles with the same arrest action that Christ gave him

3.      You can arrest people for the Lord this year 2013

4.      But you should be arrested first of the Lord

What changes should you do to your life for the coming year 2013?

(13)  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind

1.       Stop counting

a.       Stop grabbing credit. 

b.      Stop feeling loss for not being credited. 

c.       Stop feeling loss for not successfully winning a soul, just evangelize. 

d.      Stop feeling loss for not benefiting from a soul you have won to Christ

e.      Stop counting your accomplishments and fruits and give God all the glory.

Are you still telling people how ten years ago you were a former BIBLE teacher? MOVE ON

Are you in the habit of pointing out how you won the Best Soul winner award?  PUT IT BEHIND

Vs. 13 (b) but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before

3.       REACH OUT AND REACH FORTH

a.       PAUL reached forth to the Apostolic calling and task

b.      Then he reached out to the Gentiles

c.       Reaching forth today means to think of more ways to serve Jesus

d.      Reaching out today means thinking and doing more ways to serve your fellowmen

4.       PRESS ON

What do you think will you be after 5 years, if things on earth continue as is?

Do you envision yourself as following the high calling of God in Christ Jesus?

For some this high calling will be being born again

For some this high calling will be being baptized

For some this high calling will be giving sacrificially week after week, year after year

For some this high calling will be suffering laughter and being an outcast (after 5 years)

For some this high calling will be always inviting, being used and abused for God

For some this high calling will be being a Pastor or Missionary or deacon

For some this high calling will be death

Not demanded but freely exercised

There are things in the community of the Lord's saints that is NOT DEMANDED but freely exercised

The first among these that is easily understood is GIVING.
There should be no imprisonment, shunning, excommunication, inquisition, of someone in the church because he did not give tithes or offerings. Some churches do things similar, but that would be a wrong practice.
But since giving of your substance is a teaching of scripture, then it should be done by all true worshipers of God. It is freely exercised by men whose heart is right with God; whose heart the Holy Spirit has plowed on.

Other things that can be and should be given in the church but not good if demanded are:

1. Double honor to the Pastor
2. Loyalty to the church
3. Time for soul winning

Whose fruit is the soul won to Christ?

1Co 3:4-9  For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?  (5)  Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?  (6)  I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.  (7)  So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.  (8)  Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.  (9)  For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

We are guided by these verses not to think of ourselves and our efforts more highly than we ought to think.  We are nothing and the fruits of our own imaginations are nothing unless it is God who works in us both to do and to will His good pleasure.

If we witness to a person and he understands the gospel so that He claims faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who has given Eternal Life and forgiveness of sins; such a SOUL is not OUR exclusive fruit.  Someone else might have witnessed to him before, thus planting some seed, some radio, some book, some encounter might have led him to less resistance until such a time that GOD Himself led him to you.  So it is inappropriate and actually carnality for a man to lay claim that a soul won to the Lord is "his fruit"

Sovereign Grace preachers who believe in predestination know full well that preachers are mere instruments of God and therefore if someone else's labours enter into theirs so that eventually they don't get the credit or attribution as to who really led them to the Lord, then that is just fine and no loss should be felt.

Let us give all glory to God and forget about factions, names, our own housebuilding upon the foundation of Christ, and let God be the judge on the last day.

 I preached Christ in the power of a "self-originated" fervor, and consequently mutilated Him.   It gave Him no chance to reveal His true self.   Christ must be preached in the power of a Christ- centered, Christ-possessed, Christ empowered life.   Christ is never truly preached until the one who bears the message is, himself, so hidden away with Him in God, that it is no longer the messenger who speaks, but Christ speaking through him.   He (the messenger) must learn to bury himself in the Saviour's wounds, so to speak, and die to his own life, if he would present Christ in Apostolic fashion, to perishing souls.

THE BAPTIST CONFESSION OF FAITH SAYS ABOUT OUR FREEDOM

The liberty which Christ has purchased for believers under the Gospel, lies in their freedom from the guilt of sin and the condemning wrath of God, from the rigours and curse of the law, and in their deliverance from this present evil world, from bondage to Satan, from dominion of sin, from the harm of afflictions, from the fear and sting of death, from the victory of the grave, and from everlasting damnation. 

Our freedoms today that we enjoy as a country were purchased by the blood of our martyrs, our heroes, and the present soldiers who stand in the line to defend our rights.  Without them, we would have been under the Spaniards, or Americans, or Japanese.  Without our soldiers today, we would have been under Communist rule or Terrorist oppression.

Our spiritual freedom were also bought with a great price.  The blood of the man Christ Jesus.  He came down to earth to suffer and die so that we can be free from sin.  The guilt of sin, the punishment of sin, the damnation of sin, the curse of sin, and all things which are not good for our souls.

WHAT WILL THE END OF THE WORLD LOOK LIKE?

Mar 13:24-32  But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,  (25)  And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. 

1.       It has been a long prophesied event

Isa_13:10  For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

Joe_3:15  The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

2.      It will be a cataclysmic event

We do not expect a literal star falling.  Until today, we call a meteor as a falling star.

In the language of the BIBLE, any heavenly body is a star, except the sun and the moon.

Gen 1:16  And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

POWERS IN HEAVEN SHAKEN

So, you could say that there are currently 8,000 satellites in space. Thoughts and Prayers

Headlines claim that Mr. Obama offered prayers because of the tragic massacre of children.
My question everytime someone says "thoughts and prayers" is "prayers to WHO?"
There are so many gods and christs and anitchrists. There are so many saints and deities to pray to.
One could say "I am praying to the one true God" but if someone doesn't know who He is, that someone might be praying to the one true God of his imagination.
Besides, does the One True God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ accept his prayer?

Our Holy Baptism is a solemn vow with more seriousness than signing with our own blood.  Such is the case because the Baptism is done in the presence of the the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit through whom we say that we will love the brethren, the pastor, the leaders, the covenant in the Name of God.  It is done in the presence of the Holy Angels and so many witnesses.

In the life of a truly saved man, it always happens that he has a Holy Spirit who is attracted to the LIGHT and avoids the darkness.

1Jn 1:5-7 

Horoscopes? Mayan Calendars?  Nostradamus? UFO? Some hidden knowledge?  Some dark magic? False science?  Philosophy? Psychology  are works of darkness

Rumours, back biting, gossiping, whispering, ulterior motives, hypocrisy, is NOT OF THE LIGHT.

 People tend to distort even the BIBLE into dark bible codes, figures of speech, and reinterpretation of the original languages

Let’s walk away from these things of darkness, we are not of the darkness, we are of the light.

Our God is the Father of lights (James 1:17), not the father of lies (John 8:44)

This was the message that JOHN heard of Jesus.  Joh 8:12  Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

What are you going to do after reading and hearing such messages?

God's Invincible Protection

Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee

 This is God's assurance of invincibility to Isaiah With such an assurance of protection, he can preach boldly wherever God wants him to go

. This boldness to live for Christ can also be in us For we can not die until God is finished with us He has a mission for each of His children on earth and until we have completed the tasks we are set to do, we can not possibly die.

 Of course this is not a license for us to intentionally jump in the sea, or fall in a fiery furnace. The difference is, Isaiah had specific instructions to do things and words to say. Our tasks in this life are written in the Word of God as principles and doctrines to live by.

 Nevertheless, let us live by faith and press toward the mark.

Scientists may have finally solved the puzzle of what makes a person gay, and how it is passed from parents to their children.

A group of scientists suggested Tuesday that homosexuals get that trait from their opposite-sex parents: A lesbian will almost always get the trait from her father, while a gay man will get the trait from his mother.

Do we hate gays? NO. Does God hate abomination and perversion? YES.

Lev_18:22  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

I believe when you are settling an issue between brethren, to have closure, to have reconciliation, it must be between you and the other one ALONE.  In that case it is OFF THE RECORD.

But when you are declaring the truths of God's Word
When you are in a business meeting
When you are in a deposition
When you want to establish what is your firm position on the matter
Then all your statements should be PUT ON RECORD
Otherwise it might be misrepresented later on

My wife and I were having a conversation about the recent requirement to register the identities of all users of mobile phones.
We can not put new credits on our STC SAWA SIM cards.
And we just recently bought a S.R. 50 load.
So we rushed to the STC office and submitted my IQAMA to have the SIM identified under my name.
After one day, I still couldn't put new credits.
So when she used the phone I told her, there is no CREDIT YET on the phone.  Her reaction indicated that she understood the statement as,  "THERE CAN NO LONGER BE ANY CREDIT" on the phone.  And that is why she said, "we just wasted S.R. 50, oh my."
So I repeated my first statement and compared it to her reaction, and then she understood.
My statement was OFF THE RECORD, but the good thing is she remembered what I said and that is the same as being ON RECORD.

Records are important because people tend to forget, or to put a new bias on what you said.
So for your own good and mine, let's put things ON RECORD

Yes we need spare tires and support that you use only during breakdown; we need reservists that are needed when dangers abound. BUT we are in dire need of hands-on mighty men and women who get their hands dirty for the LORD

Instead of just attending church be part of the body of Christ, be an instrument in the temple of Holy Spirit, be an enlisted soldier in the army of God.

1Co_12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

1Co_3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

2Ti_2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Instead of just being in attendance, be at attention, be attentive, attend unto those things which provoke to love.  Think like the burden of success or failure of the church is on your shoulder.  Think like you will give an account of every part of the Worship and every participant in that event.

Instead of just being a disciple; BE A discipler?

A DISCIPLE is someone who forsakes all and follows Jesus

Christ is the center of his life, the first to get attention and petition, the last to be taken for granted

A DISCIPLER is someone who persuades others to do likewise


Heb_5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.



Instead of just listening; WHY NOT TEACH?

(One of the marks of true salvation is: If you love Christ enough to tell the gospel to others from your heart That is an evidence of true salvation)

Merry Christ Mass ?

The idea that Christ was born on Dec 25 also has no basis in historical fact. "We don't even know which season he was born in. The whole idea of celebrating his birth during the darkest part of the year is probably linked to pagan traditions and the winter solstice."   -  POPE BENEDICT 2012

If the POPE of the Roman Catholic Church admits that Christ Mass is on the wrong date and came from paganism.  What else do you need to know to abandon such a travesty of the Excellency of Christ?

No Work in Riyadh?

There are many people who don't have work even here in Riyadh.  They stay in the road under the sun all the day. They fight for each opportunity, when a car arrives, they throng to the car.

Love the one that you have.
Thank God and His Son for the job he gave to you.
Thank the Lord that you don't have to beg to eat

4. Instead of just loving people; BE A learner and follower

5. Instead of just learning, BE A disciple

6. Instead of just being a disciple; BE A discipler

7. Instead of just discipling, be a GIVER

The things you do right, you can do better

Have you heard the old saying don’t just live to eat, eat to live.  I don’t agree with BOTH.  When we eat, we live, but there is more to life than just being ALIVE.

1Co_6:13  Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them.

Rom_14:8  For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

Stop just earning money, have a CAREER, NOT JUST A CAREER, have a LIFE’S WORK

Having a Life’s work means being a vessel unto honor; the honour of GOD

2Ti 2:20  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

Stop just being a husband, be a lover

Eph 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Stop just being a father, be a leader - role model for your kids

Eph_6:4  And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

So you see, there are things that you do correctly now but you can do better
